From Drumsticks to Trader's Joes' mini cones, your supermarket's freezer section is full of pre-filled, ready-to-eat cones. Even Klondike can't resist reinventing the cone. Klondike Cones were introduced in 2021, nearly a century after Klondike Bar.
It's a cone-shaped butter cookie. It's pre-filled with Häagen-Dazs ice cream and lined in chocolate.
Coffee, strawberry, vanilla, and chocolate. Based on the flavour, chocolate fudge, espresso, raspberry, caramel, or cookie pieces are drizzled on top.
Elizabell Marquez, Dreyer's Grand Ice-chief Cream's marketing officer, called the new cone a "extraordinary innovation" that capitalises on the "handheld ice cream trend."
"As category leaders, we saw an opportunity for the Butter Cookie Cone to deliver next-level indulgence consumers desire and only Haagen-Dazs can deliver."
By April, retailers nationwide will sell the new cones, which start at $8.99 for a box of four. Instacart already sells them in Illinois.
Rachel Jaiven, Häagen-Dazs marketing director, said, "This is just the beginning of the Butter Cookie Cone." "This decadent new cone experience is incredibly delicious and unique," said Häagen-Dazs.
