25,200 Starbucks Drinks Recalled for Glass Pieces

whether it's brewing a pot of their signature roasts or buying a can from the store. Before you grab your next Starbucks drink, know that some were recalled. Read on for safety concerns.


Food Safety News reports that Pepsico Inc. has recalled Starbucks frappuccino vanilla drinks, per an FDA notice. The recall began on Jan. 28 and affects 25,200 nationwide-shipped cases, according to the agency.


The recalled product comes in 13.7-ounce bottles sold in 12-packs. Products with UPC 12000813313 expire March 8, May 29, June 4, and June 10, 2023. The bottles' lot codes have "DF," according to Big Y's recall notice.


Big Y recalled the product due to "a potential issue with foreign material." According to Food Safety News, bottle glass is the problem.


FDA spokesperson told Best Life: "The FDA posts recalls, market withdrawals, and safety alerts as a public service. The FDA.gov recall announcement may take several days."


Recalled Starbucks frappuccino bottles should not be consumed due to safety concerns. They should return it to the store for a full refund.


Starbucks has recalled products before. Pepsico removed cases of its Starbucks Vanilla Espresso Triple Shot Energy Coffee Beverage in September.


he company made the move after discovering that the canned drinks may contain "metal fragments" that could cause serious injury or dental damage, Food Safety News reported. It affected 221 product cases.
